The atmosphere is electric
Words cannot describe this journey we have been on to bring power to our community and borehole. Through the ups and downs of excitement and challenges we are 90% towards achieving power for our area. Can you imagine for a moment what it means to have power for the very first time? This will be a truly historic and transformative achievement that many maybe never thought possible. We thank God for all he has done to bring us this far, and we pray that he will guide and help the final stages to come to completion soon. Please pray with us.
Our Kids
So much continues to happen for all of the kids in our loving care every day. Children are a gift from the Lord and we are so humbled to have this privilege of caring for these kids through the families in our community who care for them. Kids are full of life, learning, and play. We celebrate the generosity of donors who have helped to provide shoes and school supplies for our kids. Praise the Lord!
On the property we have previously purchased we have been able to develop a football pitch for the kids and our community to play on. Believe it or not, this is a wonderful accomplishment in and of itself as football is a great way to bring joy and grow the bonds of community relationships. On other areas of the plot we continue to grow vegetables as well.
Additionally, we are continuing to have our weekly Bible studies and school tutoring sessions with our kids to empower and encourage their learning and spiritual growth. We need $30 USD per child each month to support their needs. You can support them by clicking the button below.
Our Staff
We celebrate all of the dedication and hard work of our staff that continues daily to provide for the kids and community as well. Food is cooked/prepared and taken out in baskets balanced on heads to schools and homes. Meals are prepared weekly and the community is invited to come eat and play games.
Recently, we were able to provide new uniform shirts and rain jackets for our staff who wear them proudly. Continue to pray for our staff and also prayerfully consider supporting our $1,500 USD monthly staff/food budget.
Slow, but steady Progress
As we wrap up this update, we are full of gratitude for all that has happened so far. We have also received our tax compliance from the Kenyan government which is wonderful news! Our journey is a patient one as we continue to trust the Lord for guidance and provision. Thank you to all who continue to support and pray for us. May God bless you!
P.S. Urgent needs...
Even though there are always various needs in our community, this is a more urgent one. A few houses accidentally burned down and the families are devastated. Please consider helping us financially to restore these homes and items for the families affected.
When you give, please indicate in the notation that your giving is for the ‘Burned Houses’ relief. Thank you in advance. God bless you!
