Building on the Foundation
We are excited to share our growth as we continue to build on what the Lord has birthed in our hearts for Amati in our community of Kakamega. Piece by piece things are happening and we are trusting our heavenly Father for the wisdom and strength to see everything through to completion.
Construction has begun on the plan to build two buildings. One building will be a community hall for all Amati functions from meetings, study/learning, and social events.
The other building will be a guest house for visitors which will bring many benefits for visitors and Amati since they won’t be having to pay for lodging far from Amati anymore.
One of our initial pilot projects was to build a water well and storage system. It is not only complete and fully functional, but people in the community are able to come and get clean water to take home. This is an incredible blessing to our community. Praise the Lord!
In our last update, we shared the tragic story of a family in our community that had lost their house in an accidental fire. The picture to the left is of the family and the holes being dug to start work on the framing of the new house.
In the picture to the left you can see the progress so far on their new house. Framework and roof is done and soon the walls and everything else will be too. Thank you to all who gave so generously to meet this specific need.
We would like to announce that coming up soon in some weeks we will be hosting a free dental clinic for the community. This three day event is so exciting as most people in the community and surrounding areas have rarely or never had any dental treatment. Thank you to everyone who is helping to make this big event possible. If anyone else is interested in helping us financially for this event you can give by clicking on the button below:
What an amazing God we serve. We are humbled and thankful for this privilege of ministering to our AMATI communities in all of these ways. So much goes into caring for all the kids and families we serve. The needs continue to be great.
It takes staff, food, and a workforce for us to meet needs and build projects in a meaningful way. We need your support to make all of this possible. Please prayerfully consider supporting us as we continue to walk the path God has placed before our feet. Thank you in advance.
There is still much to be done but we thank God for how far he has brought us so far and we are believing God for great things. Pray for us and help us as the Lord directs you.
